I’m currently an Early Head Start teacher, where I care for and educate infants and toddlers while supporting their developmental milestones through play-based learning. I also have experience as a Behavior Technician, working one-on-one with children, including those with autism, to encourage communication, social, and daily living skills. In addition, I have several years of nannying and babysitting experience caring for children of different ages. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and am CPR certified, giving me a strong foundation in providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care for every child.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning fun, age-appropriate activities that help children learn and grow. Some of my favorite activities include reading books, arts and crafts, sensory play, music and dancing, puzzles, building blocks, pretend play, baking, and educational games. I also enjoy spending time outdoors at parks, going on nature walks, playing sports, blowing bubbles, and encouraging active play. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can explore, build confidence, and enjoy learning every day.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays. As a former Behavior Technician, I provided one-on-one support using positive reinforcement and individualized strategies to help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills. In my current role as an Early Head Start teacher, I also support children with diverse developmental needs by creating an inclusive, patient, and nurturing environment where every child can learn and thrive.
