I worked in my high school's daycare for three years and was an after school teacher for grades K-7 for 3 years. I am currently a nanny for two toddlers Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a big fan of STEM hands on activities. I also love to paint and make different types of paint. I like baking with kids if parents allow it. If it's a messy craft we do them outside. With older kids I love setting up obstacle courses for them to do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me it's having a good balance between helping the family and making sure the child is still getting everything they need. As well as having a positive impact on not just the child but the family as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I have taught multiple special needs children throughout the years with the majority have either autism or ADHD. I have done extensive research on Autism and ADHD and how to accommodate children with them and am willing to do the same for any other disabilty. I also have experience with epilepsy, blood disorders, and respiratory issues.
