Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

There have been issues with child cussing and flipping desks…. So I went over and talked to him, get his mind off of anything that was happening around him and take him for a walk. I try to resolve in gentle parenting and try to understand why the child is upset, and understand how they feel instead of responding aggressively.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outdoors, and running around playing tag or play mini games with the kids. If it’s winter I’d rather stay with the kids and watch a movie or play games rather.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The Child’s safety. The number one thing I can say I am very protective and cautious about the child’s safety. Also that’s part of this job is to put the child’s safety first and make sure the are well taken care of and protected.

My experience with special needs children...

I used to be in a school called north point that’s worked with kids with all different sorts of different backgrounds and experiences and how they learn. With the kids with the disabilities and whom were very angry, you want to try and find coping mechanisms for the child to calm down weather it’s breaking or hand signs to make them focused on something other than being sad or upset and frustrated.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I was working with one of the kids and they were really interested in the game Fortnite and he seen how good I was at drawing and wanted me to draw a picture of a Fortnite character for him. He’s a sweet but misunderstood kid.
