My experience with special needs children...
My little brother its 8 years old; I taught him how to do many things that my mom didn't really understand how to show him such as cleaning up his room without throwing a temper, and lowering his temper at 5 years old. I taught him how its very important to wash your hands after using the restroom. I am very patient when it comes to that things since they see things differently then we do.
