Ive worked as a group leader at a day camp, as a coach at Kidstrong and Ive also completed an internship with pediatric physical therapy. I have 4 nephews of my own who I’ve cared for as if they were my own multiple times a week.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun games for them to play outdoors and indoors while also letting then contribute to the rules. Arts and crafts are also a big one, I love doing creatice activities that help them explore their imaginations. I also enjoy helping them build things out of blocks or any toys they may have and a lot of imaginitive play. Seeing how creative some children are makes the job extremely worth it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a good balance of a safe and nuturing environment while also keeping things fun, engaging and even educational. Whether it be educational in the terms of social, cognitive, or physical skills and even just everyday lessons children begin to learn as they age.
My experience with special needs children...
In my classes at Kidstrong and my group of children at the day camp, I had a fiew kids with attention deficits as well as some children who are on the spectrum.
