A little bit about me

My name is Aryahna and I'm looking to do some babysitting! I am a college student at the University of Missouri - Columbia studying Human Development and Family Science with a focus on Child Life. I have experience babysitting for various families from the age of 12 which became more consistent when I was 14. I've worked mostly with ages newborn-10 both in a babysitting setting but also in a more professional setting. I was the Kindergarten Teacher for Oakhill Day School Fully Charged Summer Program in 2022 and worked with 4-5-year-olds. I am hardworking and very responsible but I also enjoy just having fun with kiddos. I can also offer tutoring services in addition to babysitting which I would ask for an increase in pay for but I always love helping out with any homework, reading difficulty, timetables, etc. I can also help out with Travel, Laundry, Meals, etc.

I'd love to talk with you more!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as the Lead Kindergarten Teacher for the Summer School Program at Oakhill Dayschool. I also have multiple Children's Ministry experiences at my church.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, board games, going for adventure walks, creating stories, etc. Every child is different so I like to do whatever makes them happy and excited to hang out!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is adapting to whatever each family needs. A nanny can't treat a family the same way they did their last family because they're different. A nanny must understand the specific needs that both the parent(s) and kid(s) have in order for everything to work smoothly.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs in my classroom and in some of the daycares I've worked at. I don't have the most experience with them, but I have worked with these kiddos on multiple occasions.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a kiddo who had been dealing with nightmares for months. His parents and I were doing all of the things that you're supposed to do but nothing seemed to work. There was one night where I was rocking him to sleep and it brought me back to when he was just a few months old. That was one of the first nights that he had slept fully in months. As hard as the nights when he would wake up screaming would be, that night of rocking him to sleep makes it all worth it.

Kaitlin R. - Seeking Work in Columbia

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Columbia, MO: Kaitlin R.

Hi! My name is Kaitlin. I am looking for temporary nanny work, until around the end of February. I am 25 years old, & a graduate of Mizzou with a BA in economics. I have lots of experience with children due to becoming an aunt when I was 9, & now having 14 nephews & nieces total, who I absolutely love. I’ve babysit them many times. As for paid babysitting, I have babysit twin 6 month olds at one time, & elementary & middle school aged children, all of these gigs being part time for a few months at a time.
I really enjoy children, & like spending time with them & helping them learn & discover the world around them!
I would be happy to work with children on basic education, such as reading, spelling, etc.
I am likewise willing to do basic house chores. I do not have a *ton* of experience with meal prep, but could certainly do basic cooking for the children.
As for my personal life, I am a Christian, & I love running, reading, & most of all I love spending time with my loved ones.
