Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing fun, creative, and engaging activities with children that encourage them to learn, explore, and use their imaginations. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, coloring, reading books, playing outside, going to parks, playing games, and doing age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy baking, doing simple science experiments, building with blocks, and helping children discover new interests. For younger children, I love sensory play, music, and activities that support their development. I enjoy attending their extracurricular activities and cheering them on at games or performances. Most importantly, I love getting to know each child’s personality and finding activities that match their interests, age, and abilities while creating happy memories together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is making a meaningful difference in a child’s life. I want every child I care for to know that they have someone who listens to them, understands them, and makes them feel heard and valued. If a child is having a bad day, I want to meet them at their level, be patient with their feelings, and remind them that it’s okay to have big emotions. I want to be someone they feel comfortable coming to, whether they need a hug, someone to talk to, or simply someone to sit with them. Beyond keeping children safe and meeting their daily needs, I believe it’s important to make sure they feel genuinely loved, supported, and understood. My goal is to be a positive, dependable presence in their lives and to help them feel confident knowing that their feelings matter and that they are always worthy of love and kindness.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience babysitting children on the autism spectrum, including nonverbal autistic twin boys and another autistic boy. These experiences have helped me understand the importance of patience, flexibility, attentiveness, and adapting to each child’s individual needs. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and cared for. I understand that every child communicates and expresses themselves differently, and I believe in taking the time to learn their unique communication styles, routines, preferences, and needs. My goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care while helping children feel secure, included, and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is walking through the door and hearing the kids excitedly yell, “Miss Aryah!” before running over to hug me. I love when they run to my car with the biggest smiles, wave excitedly, or proudly introduce me to others by saying, “That’s my babysitter! Her name is Miss Aryah!” It always makes me smile when parents tell me how much their children love me or joke that their kids love me more than they love them! Those little moments mean so much because they show that I’ve built a genuine connection with the children I care for. Knowing that a child feels safe, loved, and excited to spend time with me is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny. I want every child I care for to feel valued, supported, and loved.
