My experience with special needs children...
Working with autistic children is something that comes naturally to me not just because I’ve learned how, but because it’s been part of my life since I was young. I had the privilege of growing up with a brother on the autism spectrum, and helping raise him taught me so much about patience, understanding, and unconditional love. From an early age, I learned how to support him through both challenges and milestones, and that experience has shaped who I am today.I also went to a school where many of my classmates were on the spectrum, which helped me develop an even deeper understanding of how to communicate and connect in ways that are respectful, calm, and effective. Being around neurodiverse kids has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so it feels second nature to create a safe, comfortable environment where they can just be themselves.
