More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've nannied and babysat for multiple families. This summer, I’m nannying two boys (ages 6 and 9) in my hometown—this is my second summer with them! I’ve also worked at the CDRC on the TTU campus, served as a kindergarten teacher’s aide at my local elementary school, and led VBS camps as a kids’ counselor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy crafting, reading books, playing games, and spending time outdoors when the weather is nice. I also enjoy helping with homework, making simple snacks together, and encouraging creativity through music, drawing, or pretend play. I always try to match the child’s energy and interests to ensure they feel supported and have fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, loving environment where children feel valued and supported. It’s essential to listen to their needs, be patient, and encourage their growth while making sure they have fun and feel secure.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with special needs since 7th grade. I participated in Partners PE during 7th–8th and 11th–12th grades, which were the only years offered in my city. I also attended Special Olympics trips every year. Many of my close friends back home have special needs, so I value building strong, supportive relationships and enjoy working with children of all abilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when one of the boys I care for proudly showed me a drawing he had made just for me. It reminded me how much trust and friendship can grow between a nanny and a child. Moments like that make all the hard work so rewarding and remind me why I love working with kids.
