A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ashley Hushen, and I’m a 24-year-old nanny with 5 years of professional nanny experience and over 10 years of childcare experience. I am CPR and BLS certified, up to date on all vaccinations, have a reliable vehicle, and am a non-smoker.

This fall, I’ll be starting nursing school with the goal of specializing in Pediatrics or the NICU after graduation. As I work through school, I am looking for a long-term part-time nanny position with a wonderful family.

I am Montessori trained and enjoy planning hands-on activities, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and age-appropriate learning experiences. I strive to make each day fun while supporting children’s development, independence, and confidence. In addition to childcare, I also offer meal preparation, light household cleaning, household organization, and pet care to help support busy families.

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their family. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported as they learn and grow. I strive to be a positive, dependable presence in their lives while encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence. Knowing that I can help a child feel loved and secure while supporting their development is the most rewarding part of what I do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a little one learn to walk. I had the privilege of cheering them on through all the small milestones—from pulling up to stand, to taking those first wobbly steps. Seeing their face light up when they realized they could do it on their own was such a rewarding experience
