Hi, my name is Ashley! I’ve been a childcare provider for the past five years, working as both a private nanny and an after-school teacher. Families I’ve worked with—and those closest to me—would describe me as a caring, energetic, and professional individual who loves to use her imagination and embrace new adventures.

I chose the path of nannying because I truly feel called to work with children. This career allows me to nurture, teach, and grow alongside the kids I care for—it’s truly my dream job!

A little about me personally: I’m currently learning to play tennis, which has been a fun and rewarding challenge. I also enjoy reading in my free time, but more often than not, you’ll find me spending quality time with my family and creating lasting memories together.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have also worked with children as an afterschool teacher where I focused mainly on tk/ kindergarten age. Here I would help plan educational activities to do with the children everyday. As well as prepared snacks upon their arrival.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy variety of activities! I love painting and finding new objects to create art with. I enjoy doing a nature scavenger hunt while going on walks. The list goes on and on with all the fun we can do!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me about being a nanny is that I want the family to feel my presence. What I mean by that is I want them to feel they can relay on me with anything and be assured said task will get done without having to stress about it. I essentially would love to become part of their family to the point I know what to do before even being told.

My experience with special needs children...

I currently do not have experience with special needs children but it is something I am willing to learn! I believe I am a very patient and calm individual who is willing to take on anything.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A sweet moment I have had with a child I was nannying for is when everyday when we would go play outside they would ask to sit on my lap while we looked at the sky and explored what visited us that day. This was a sweet moment to me because it became routine and one day when I asked her why she enjoys looking at the sky she said it was because she was doing it with me.
