A little bit about me

Hello! I am a senior at NYU, with experiences in childcare, tutoring, and pet sitting. In addition to babysitting throughout my teenage years, I was able to work as an America Reads/America Counts tutor for a little over a year and a half while being a student at NYU. This program works with the NYC DOE to facilitate intimate learning spaces within the public school classroom. As a tutor, I was placed within a Social Studies classroom and was able to work closely with each and every student through not just one-on-one work but also through small group sessions. I was also a proofreader and grader for all the student's written responses, essays, and speeches. In addition, I was born and raised in a pet-loving family and am an animal lover myself! I have taken care of pets with an array of needs, such as pets with anxiety and pets requiring medication. I look forward to being able to offer my support to you and your family!

I worked as an in-classroom Social Studies/English tutor at an NYC public school for a year and a half, working intimately with multiple 8th grade classes.

My experience with special needs children...

I do have experience working with children with ADD. My time spent as their tutor and nanny taught me how to help them handle overstimulation and hyperactivity. In addition, I have taken a child psychology course centered around behavioral disorders in children and how to properly correct any improper actions.
