A little bit about me

I am currently studying Business & Education, combining my passion for leadership & development with my love for working with children. With over eight years of hands-on experience as a nanny, I’ve learned that caring for children goes far beyond supervision. It is about creating structure, stability, & a safe environment where they feel seen, heard, & supported.

I genuinely love being part of a child’s growth journey. Whether that means helping them reach developmental milestones, building confidence in schoolwork, encouraging independence, or simply creating meaningful everyday moments, I take pride in being someone they can rely on. I believe children thrive when they are guided with patience, consistency, & warmth.

My goal is not only to help children have fun, but to help shape positive experiences that contribute to their emotional, social, & academic growth. I hope to continue creating nurturing, safe environments where children can grow into confident, kind, & capable adults.

"Ashley has been such a steady and loving presence in my daughter’s life for the past five summers and on occasional weekends throughout the school year. She has always been incredibly flexible and reliable whenever we’ve needed her, which as a parent means more than I can explain. She truly feels like part of our family. From the very beginning, it was clear that she genuinely cares, not just about supervising, but about being present and engaged. She keeps my daughter safe and structured, but also makes their time together fun and meaningful. They do crafts, play imaginative games, have little adventures, and share real conversations. My daughter absolutely lights up when she knows Ashley is coming. The biggest thing for me is peace of mind. I completely trust her. She is patient, thoughtful, dependable, and mature beyond her years. I never have to worry when my daughter is with her. Any family would be so lucky to have someone as caring and reliable as Ashley caring for their child"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to my eight years of nanny experience, I am studying in Business Administration & Education, which has strengthened my understanding of child development, structure, & leadership. Alongside my professional work, I have volunteered in environments that support children’s growth, assisting with homework, mentoring, & organizing activities that build creativity & confidence.

I’ve supported children with school routines, academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development. I create structured daily schedules, plan engaging educational activities, & encourage independence in a way that feels supportive & balanced.

Working long-term with families has allowed me to grow with children from early childhood into adolescence.

I approach childcare with intention, focusing on creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children feel confident, supported, and motivated to grow.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love turning ordinary days into little adventures. Whether we’re building blanket forts that become castles, creating art projects from scratch, or inventing imaginative storylines where the living room becomes another world, I enjoy encouraging creativity and curiosity. I like mixing fun with purpose, so even simple activities like baking, puzzles, or outdoor walks become chances to learn something new.

Outside, I enjoy park days, nature walks, scavenger hunts, and active games that let kids move their bodies and burn energy in a healthy way. Indoors, I focus on hands-on activities like building sets, reading together, creative writing, drawing, and structured play that supports problem-solving and confidence.

I believe play should feel magical but also meaningful. The goal is always to create moments where children feel excited, engaged, and proud of what they’re discovering about themselves and the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is supporting a child’s overall wellbeing every day. This means maintaining a safe physical environment, being attentive and present, and making sure their emotional needs are met. I focus on consistency, structure, and clear communication so children feel secure and understood. Beyond daily care, I understand that I am also a role model. Children learn through observation, so I aim to model patience, respect, responsibility, and healthy communication in everyday interactions. Through routines, homework support, creative play, and encouragement, I help build confidence and independence in a steady, supportive way. When a child feels safe, valued, and guided by a positive example, I know I am doing my job well.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting children on the autism spectrum through close family members, as well as assisting children with various special needs in supervised play and social settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide patient, individualized care while maintaining structure and consistency. I understand the importance of clear communication, routine, and creating a calm, supportive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is celebrating the children’s birthdays each year. It’s not just about the party, but about seeing how much they’ve grown and who they are becoming. Each year feels like a reminder that I’ve had the privilege of watching them develop their personalities, build confidence, and step more fully into who they are meant to be. Being part of that growth and knowing I’ve helped support their journey is incredibly meaningful to me as a caregiver.
