More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience working with children and families. I worked for a respite care company in California for two years, providing support and relief to parents of children and adults with special needs. I also have experience as an elderly caregiver and spent three years as a live-in nanny for a family. Additionally, I volunteered as a Scout leader, giving me experience working with children in group settings and planning fun, safe activities. I’m caring, patient, dependable, and passionate about creating a safe and loving environment for children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities! Indoors, I enjoy reading books, playing board and card games, doing puzzles, coloring and crafts, building forts, playing hide-and-seek, dancing, and encouraging imaginative play. For children who are old enough, I enjoy cooking and baking together while teaching basic kitchen safety. I also enjoy an occasional fun movie or cozy afternoon.
Outdoors, I like turning everyday activities into little adventures. We can go for walks, visit playgrounds, play outdoor games, blow bubbles, use sidewalk chalk, play with balls, or have scavenger hunts. One of my favorites is the color game—we pick a color and see how many things we can find on our walk. I also enjoy exploring nature, looking for flowers, birds, bugs, and interesting rocks, while encouraging curiosity and learning along the way. Most importantly, I want children to have fun, stay active, use their imagination, and make happy memories!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where a child feels comfortable being themselves. Parents are trusting you with their most precious responsibility, so being dependable, patient, attentive, and respectful of their parenting style is incredibly important. I also believe in building a genuine relationship with each child, listening to them, encouraging them, and making sure they feel cared for, valued, and supported while their parents are away.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience providing respite care for families of children and adults with special needs. I understand that every individual has unique needs, routines, abilities, and ways of communicating, and I approach caregiving with patience, compassion, and understanding. My goal is to provide dependable support while creating a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for both the individual and their family. I have experience giving parents a break while knowing their loved one is in caring and capable hands. I also have references available from families I have provided respite care for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are the little ones that may seem ordinary but end up meaning the most—hearing a child laugh, watching them learn something new, or seeing their excitement when we do an activity they love. I especially enjoy the moments when a child feels comfortable enough to be silly, share their stories, or come to me for comfort. I also love creating fun memories through crafts, adventures, baking, reading bedtime stories, and celebrating their little milestones. Being able to build a trusting relationship with a child and watch their personality grow is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny.
