I have been caring for children since I was 9 years old. I helped raise every last one of my neices and nephews until about age 16. After that, I ended up marrying someone with a 4 year old daughter. I spent 5 years as a stay-at-home parent, caring for my step-daughter.

I love working on anything educational, but also fun for them. I enjoy teaching kids how to write and read, as well as getting down on the floor and playing with them with their toys. Too many people are "too good" to get down and play with kids, when that's all they really want. That attention and imagination is vital for their developing brains

The most important part about being a nanny is definitely the attentiveness and care. You constantly have to be ready for any situation with a child, but you also have to be able to keep your cool and stay in the mindset of the job.
