I have worked in Montessori classrooms with children with special needs, we do not exclude them from the day-to-day activities any other student partakes in. As for privatized care, I have not worked as a nanny for a special needs child.

I’ve been living on the big island in Puna for the past 25 years and have raised my own children here (2 boys). Im in a transitional moment and am looking for a change. I will be moving to Hilo in the summer of 2026 and would prefer to work close to home (20 minute drive max). I am an artist and plan to continue my art part time as well. Hours can be flexible, I’ll need to drop my son off at high school around 7:30 every morning, and want to be available for him some afternoons and evenings as well, so we just need to work around this schedule.
