A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Ashlyn, and I’m 20 years old. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom to two children, ages 2 and 8 months. I’m looking for a nanny position that allows me to bring my little ones with me. I feel very confident that my experience and skills will allow me to care for all children equally while completing all tasks and responsibilities with excellence.
We love spending our days playing outside, learning, helping cook meals, doing arts and crafts, and going on fun adventures. We’re a Christian family and make it a priority to include Jesus in everything we do. I have previous experience working in a daycare setting where I cared for 10 one-year-olds on my own, as well as experience nannying for two young children while bringing my own along. I’ve also been babysitting for multiple families since I was 13. Being a mom is my greatest joy, and watching children learn and grow is truly my favorite part of childcare.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Other than my own children, i have always been the designated babysitter in my family! Since i was 13 i have been babysitting my cousins (4 boys!) as well as family friends. I recently was a temporary nanny for a sweet family who have two children (ages 3 and 11mo) where i was able to bring my two children along. I have tons of experience working with multiple children at once and i worked at a daycare having 9 one year olds in my own classroom!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating age appropriate learning activities for my children to do but by far my favorite way to get them to learn and explore is to go outside! We love the park, going to the library, swimming/enjoying the splash pad, and learning to cook and clean!! I also incorporate Jesus into everything, teaching children how good He is and what His word says/ how to apply it daily is so important in my home!

Creating a relationship with the family and making a space for your children to feel safe and loved!

My experience with special needs children...

In high school i was in partners and art as well as P.E., we worked with the special education classrooms to help get them involved in physical activities as well as arts and crafts. I have worked with children and adults who all had very different disabilities so i understand every child is different and i am prepared to learn what your child needs to be successful and cared for. I am very patient and attentive and always ready to learn!
