Making sure children are cared for and not just watched. It’s easy to disengage with people today but it is absolutely not an option when it comes to impressionable, growing children. They deserve to be loved and cared for well, not tuned out or ignored.

One day my sweet niece that I nannied was feeling sick, and so we just cuddled up on the bed and I held her as we watched her favorite show. I felt so bad for her feeling unwell, but I’m glad I got to be the one to hold her and comfort her when she wasn’t doing her best.
