I don't have much paid experience from working with kids, but I do have a lot of experience through volunteering and school throughout the past year. Here's a little bit of what I've done.
Mondays after school I volunteer to supervise the 6th grade orchestra and organize activities for them.
Last semester, I student taught at Washington and Nasonville Elementary. At Washington I worked with 1st and 2nd graders, and at Nasonville I worked with 4th-6th graders. I would go to the schools every other day from 7:45am-10:00am
I've completed a DC Careers with Kids course, and have spent a lot of time in the daycare next to us with all ages, and I've really enjoyed my time there!
I've also babysat 3 kids a few times, one of which has autism.
