A little bit about me

Hello! I'm Aspen! I'm 22 and I recently graduated from PSU with a degree in English. I'm looking for a family in need of a long-term nanny.

I was a nanny last school year for a family with a 5-year-old child (can provide a reference for this), and I loved collaborating with their family to provide care that was aligned with all of our values.

Last summer I worked at an outdoor summer camp for kids ages 4-14. I love to read, sing, make art, and play outside with children!

I also played a large role in raising my younger sister and volunteered at the Dougy Center, a support center for grieving children and families.

I'm passionate about giving children autonomy while also making sure they feel safe and supported.

I believe in a nervous-system and attachment focused approach to childcare. I aim to be curious about the root cause of a child's distress or behavior rather than labeling it 'good' or 'bad'.
