Hello, my name is aspen, I am 20 years old and currently looking for a full time babysitting/nannying job. I have a very bubbly and colorful personality with a huge heart. I enjoy animals so that is definitely never an issue if you do have pets, I know sometimes it’s hard finding someone who is okay with all animals, but luckily I grew up in the country with all kinds of animals to play with!

I have had many years of childcare experience, not only professionally but also personally. I am the eldest daughter of 5 kids and growing up I always stepped up to help my single mother take care of all of my siblings. With that being said I saw first hand how difficult it was for a parent to work and take care of their babies, so if I can help any parent(s) even with the smallest task I will. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked a part time job at a daycare with all kinds of age groups. We did circle/learning time, meals , nap time and even recess.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When the weather is nice I absolutely LOVE taking the kids to the park(s) to play! It’s something I loved doing as a child myself. Another thing I’ve noticed they love is swimming and arts and crafts activities outdoors. It allows them to get their brains fluctuating with creativity. Some things I enjoy doing indoors is reading, forts and movies, and playing pretend. I believe it’s good to encourage their imagination because it allows them to create wonderful thoughts and ideas that you can help them achieve.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My main goal is to provide an environment where your kids can feel safe to express who they are and their beautiful imaginations and learn important life lessons. I think it’s important to treat this position as more than a job but as if they are your family.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t professionally cared for a child with special needs but I have helped with my cousin who has cerebral palsy. I didn’t find it difficult while helping at the time. I’m completely comfortable working with special needs as long as I have the proper instructions beforehand.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I took care of a 5 year old little boy a few years ago and one thing I’ll never forget is the day we were playing and he fell and hurt himself and instead of crying he stood up and said “I’m okay I’m strong just like you” then he ran to me and hugged me. At the time I had just lost a loved one so hearing that made my heart whole.
