More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started working in childcare when I was 13 at my church daycare and stayed there until Covid. During that time I earned my CDA certifications and eventually moved into full-time nannying, which I did up until my daughter was born in October. Most of my experience is with infants and toddlers, but I’ve also worked with older kids through the YMCA summer programs. I’m comfortable administering medication and have hands-on experience working closely with autistic children and supporting their individual needs. Childcare has always been more than a job for me- it’s something I genuinely love and take seriously.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting outside and staying active! I go on walks every day with my daughter and have plenty of energy to keep up with kids, but I’m also totally down to sit and color or do a chill activity. I’m really into crafts and fun Pinterest projects, so I’m always coming up with something creative to do. I also have experience homeschooling and helping kids learn in a way that feels fun and not forced.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me is the one-on-one time. I’ve worked in rooms with twenty toddlers at once, and that was more about survival than connection. What I love about nannying is getting to build a real bond, truly know a child, and be there to watch them grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with kids with special needs, including autism and ODD. I’ve also administered medication for epilepsy and worked very closely one-on-one with that child, so I’m comfortable handling medical needs and adapting care to each kid individually.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when my previous family met my daughter. It was so special seeing a child I’ve known since she was 4 months old get to hold a part of me. We still keep in touch, and she’ll forever be a part of my family.
