Going to the pool, the playground, puzzles, coloring, teaching them how to do chores around the house, reading, bored games, whatever there parents want me to do with them, or teach them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
You get to help them accomplish things that they have not been able to before. Make sure if they have a schedule for anything that they stay on top of it. If the parents give you a note for what they can't do then don't let them do it.
My experience with special needs children...
I've learned how to be patient with all kids even with kiddos that need more help. Ik how to feed with a syringe and tube. If they can't do something I cam help them but if it is to hard I will not force them at all, I will congratulate them for trying their best.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A little kiddo fell and all the other kiddos got up and ran to make sure she was ok. After that they all gave her a hug all at once. I'm glad to see kiddos being nice and kind to others.
