More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been babysitting for the last 5+ years, starting with one family (now with children ages 8 and 5) who I still care for regularly — including extended stays while parents travel. In between, I’ve also babysat for many other families with children of all ages, from newborns to teens. I also have experience working with children on the spectrum, including a 10-year-old I currently care for, which has given me valuable skills in redirecting, supporting emotional regulation, and helping navigate unique challenges with patience and understanding.
Beyond babysitting, I’ve mentored middle school students and tutored 4th and 5th graders, giving me experience supporting kids both academically and emotionally.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love tailoring activities based on each child’s interests but I really enjoy creating a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment where kids can both play and learn. Reading is one of my favorite activities to share, and I enjoy helping children build strong early reading skills and retention through fun, interactive methods. Depending on each family’s preference, I’m also happy to incorporate Christian-based studies or values into our time together.
We stay busy with plenty of arts and crafts, creative games, and hands-on activities that encourage both imagination and learning. I love building forts or obstacle courses, turning meal prep or snack time into fun learning moments, and finding creative ways to teach small household skills using a Montessori-style approach. Whether we're building with blocks, working on puzzles, or exploring educational games, my goal is always to create a positive, safe, and enriching space where kids feel happy, supported, and confident.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe space where children feel truly heard, trusted, and supported. My goal is always to build an environment where kids can express themselves openly, knowing I’m there to guide them through challenges while also holding clear and consistent boundaries. I believe structure helps kids feel secure — knowing what’s expected allows them to thrive, grow, and build confidence. While I’m patient and nurturing, I also make sure expectations are in place, so they learn responsibility, respect, and resilience. Being part of that growth is the most rewarding part of what I do.
My experience with special needs children...
I have 4 years of hands-on experience working directly with a now 10-year-old on the autism spectrum. Over that time, I’ve developed strong skills in gentle redirection, emotional regulation support, and creating a calm, structured, and positive environment tailored to his needs. My focus is always on helping each child feel safe, supported, and confident in their daily routines.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One moment that really stuck with me was seeing how much the kids responded to our daily reading and journaling routine. At first, it was just a small part of our day, but over time I saw them start to look forward to it — grabbing their books and journals on their own, excited to share what they wrote or read. That simple consistency not only helped build their skills, but gave me so much confidence and appreciation knowing they truly enjoyed the structure and found comfort in it. Moments like that remind me how important these little routines can be in helping kids feel safe, capable, and proud of themselves.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chandler, AZ: Tiana D.
Hi, I am Tiana. I come from a lively Greek home that is very family-oriented and full of fun and laughter! I am currently a senior at ASU working towards my Bachelor's in Business Administration. Aside from school, in my spare time, I love working with children, baking and cooking, and spending time with my two cats, family, and friends. I have always loved spending time with little ones and can't wait for the day of having a family of my own. I have early memories of having fun with my nanny, and she has impacted my life so much that I would love to be that for other little ones! No need to worry about pets, I am very comfortable with all types of animals since I've been surrounded by them my entire life. I hope that I can be the nanny for your family!
