More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

At 15, I began babysitting two children, aged 7 and 4, in their home. I worked around 2-4 nights per week. My responsibilities included assisting the children with homework, preparing,and cleaning up dinner, and following their bedtime routines to put them to bed. I provided my services to this family for approximately three years before they no longer needed my assistance.My next job was for a family with a 4-year-old and a 7-month-old, who came to my home. I worked 10 hours 4 days a week. I engaged in age-appropriate play with both children, feeding the 4-year-old lunch and snacks throughout the day I maintained a clean and secure environment and followed a schedule for the baby's feeding, diaper changes, and naps .My most recent job was in my home for a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old. I worked afternoons for 3 days a week for 3 hours a day. I would engage in age-appropriate screen-free play with both children as well as maintain a clean and safe environment. I worked for 6 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love in engaging children through arts and crafts, sensory, and Montessori-style activities. I enjoy working with younger children to help them develop fine motor skills, as well as older kids to encourage imaginative play. Additionally, I love to organize outdoor activities suitable for all ages.

My experience with special needs children...

Growing up with close family members who cared for children with special needs, I learned the importance of having extra patience and showing extra love when working with them. Though I haven't directly cared for a child with special needs, this experience has given me a unique perspective.
