Hello! My name is Audrey and I am a creative, patient, flexible professional with 12 years of teaching and caregiving experience. I am certified in k-6 General Education, English as a Second Language, and Special Education, and have worked as a sitter, nanny, and travel nanny. I have taught pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade and currently work with students of all ages as a teacher of students with visual impairments. I have experience as a pre-k, kindergarten and first grade classroom teacher. I currently work as a special education teacher for students with visual impairments. I have experience working with children aged birth through high school and with a variety of needs including Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, and non-verbal children.

I have worked as a full time nanny and travel nanny. I have eight years experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love using books as a starting point for activities. After reading a story, I like to do an art project about it, write our thoughts on the book, retell the story as actors or tell it to a family member. I also love to do the things I loved as a child. Making friendship bracelets, climbing jungle gyms, bubbles and sidewalk chalk, cooking fun snacks, and making up new games.

I am a certified special education teacher with four years of experience working with children from birth to high school with varying visual impairments. Many of my students have additional needs and I am experienced in working with children with ADHD/ADD, ASD, Down syndrome, and sensory processing disorders.
