I am a firm believer in play. I will get on the floor, run around, play games, play pretend, get messy, or whatever keeps the child happy and entertained. I am also good at calm activities, reading, coloring, chill tv time, or whatever makes your child feel safest and feel calm.

The safety of the children I’m watching is always my first priority. I am perfectly okay seeming a bit mean if it means they stay safe. I will put myself in between danger and my kids without hesitation. I also believe in gentle parenting techniques. Making sure the child feels heard, and safe. Working with them to overcome problems and have the best experience possible is very important to me.

My youngest sister has multiple behavioral issues. She’s on the spectrum, had PTSD, anger issues, many behavioral and reactive disorders and a lot more. Over the years i’ve grown my skills in patience, keeping myself and others safe during outbursts, and handling tantrums like a pro.
