More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

From the age of 7, I played a significant role in raising my two younger brothers while helping support my family. I assisted with their daily routines, including preparing meals and after-school snacks, helping with homework, bath time, bedtime, playtime, and teaching them responsibility through age-appropriate chores. I provided a safe, loving, and structured environment that helped them grow into respectful, healthy, and confident young men. Today, they are thriving academically, participate in sports, maintain healthy lifestyles, and understand the importance of kindness, discipline, and hard work. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, communication, problem-solving, and how to provide attentive, compassionate care to children of different ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, engaging, and memorable experiences for children while helping them learn and grow. Some of my favorite activities include field days and outdoor games, movie nights, arts and crafts, creative educational activities, baking lessons, board games, reading stories, and taking fun ice cream trips together. I also enjoy encouraging imagination, building confidence, and creating a safe, positive environment where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel valued, supported, and free to be themselves. A nanny is more than someone who watches children—they are a positive role model who helps encourage kindness, confidence, good habits, and personal growth. Building a strong relationship with both the children and their parents through trust, communication, and consistency is what allows a child to thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

While I do not have direct experience caring for children with special needs, I am eager to learn and committed to providing every child with the patience, kindness, and individualized care they deserve. I understand that every child has unique needs, and I am more than willing to adapt to their routines, follow parents’ guidance, and learn any specific care techniques necessary to help them feel safe, supported, and loved. I believe every child deserves to be understood, respected, and encouraged to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are when I can see a child’s appreciation through their actions, whether it’s a big smile, a hug, or their excitement to spend time together. It is incredibly rewarding to know that my hard work, patience, and care make a positive difference in their life. Watching children grow in confidence, learn new skills, and thrive because they feel loved, supported, and encouraged is the most fulfilling part of caring for them. Those moments remind me why I enjoy working with children so much. 💛

Novia C. - Seeking Work in Covington

Babysitter Available in Covington, GA: Novia C.

I am an experienced childcare professional with 1.5 years of experience as an in-home Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), providing one-on-one care and behavioral support for children with special needs in their homes. Because of my experience working directly in a home setting, I am very comfortable caring for children in their everyday environments and helping them feel safe, supported, and comfortable. I am also very comfortable working with challenging behaviors and understand the importance of patience, consistency, redirection, and positive reinforcement. In addition to my RBT experience, I have worked as a camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, babysitter, and provided overnight childcare. I truly enjoy working with children and creating a supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and be themselves.

Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Covington, GA: Odalys S.

Hi My name is Odalys, I am 18 years old, and I am originally from Guatemala. I am currently living in Georgia and finishing high school through online school, which gives me a flexible schedule.

I am a caring, responsible, patient, creative, and fun person who loves being around children. Although I have not worked as a professional nanny, I do have experience with children through my family. I have experience with babies and have helped care for my baby brother since he was little, as well as spending time with my younger brother as he has grown. This has taught me the importance of being patient, caring, and understanding because every child is different.

I have also participated in pageants and community activities where I had the opportunity to spend time with children and families. I enjoy creating fun moments, making children smile, and helping them feel safe and cared for. I hope to build a trusting relationship with the family and be someone they can rely on.
