The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was babysitting for a friend’s son at bedtime. He asked to watch a movie, saying it would help him fall asleep, but it seemed to wake him up even more! I paused it and offered to read to him instead, promising we could go back to the movie if the book didn’t help. I didn’t even make it through the first page before he was fast asleep. After that, every time I babysat, he’d ask for that same book at bedtime — it became a little routine.
