My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with Autism and ADHD for over 3 years. This has been the most rewarding career I have have. Seeing a kid go from completely non-vocal, with severe behaviors, with an extremely sedentary personality, to never not talking, communicating their needs, and playing with peers is probably the most wonderful thing to experience.
