The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety, without question — but not safety as a checklist, safety as attention. The best nannies aren't the ones reciting rules; they're the ones who never fully switch off, who catch the wobble before the fall, who know when a kid's silence means something.
Second to that: trust. Kids can tell when an adult is actually present versus just occupying space near them. Parents can tell when you're giving them real information versus a polished "everything was great!" Both of those only work if you're honest, even when honesty is less convenient — telling a parent their kid had a rough day, or telling a kid no and meaning it.

My experience with special needs children...
I have several months of experience working with a 4-year-old boy who has autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
was the first time a kid successfully learned to swim under my supervision and was comfortable being in the water.
