Hey there! My name is Ava and I am 19 years old and I attend the University of Missouri as an online student. I have worked in childcare for 5+ years. I started off babysitting when I was 13 and when I turned 16, I got a job at Wilsons Play Center and started watching kids ranging from the ages of 12 weeks old-12 years old. Recently, I nannied full-time for a 4 month old baby but he was due to severe health issues, his parents are staying home with him. So I am looking to start nannying full-time again! I would ask to not work on weekends except if you need an occasional babysitter! I cook, clean, and I do all housework that I am asked to do. I gave reports if I am asked to do so, I can also help tutor if needed. I also help with pet care! Because I have a lot of experience with pet care as well! I hope to take care of your little ones!

I worked in childcare at Wilson’s Playcenter for 2 years with children of all ages! there I learned how to tutor children, problem solving, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor: I love to play with kids! With babies, I love to do tummy time and sight activities as well as sensory activities! with children, I love to play make-believe, and whatever games that they are interested in, I am always up for. I am a very hands-on nanny, and I love to keep the children entertained.
Outdoor: I love to go on walks with them, and if you have a playset, you best believe I will be making complete use of that! Outdoor time is very important to me because it gets their energy out and being outside is very important for their growth!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, caring relationship with the children and their parents. This involves creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, physically, and intellectually, while also maintaining open and effective communication with the family to align on expectations and routines. Trust and reliability are key, as families depend on me to care for their children with consistency and genuine concern for their well-being.

My experience with special needs children...

I have administered special medication’s for children, as well as worked with children of disabilities at Wilsons, and my brother has autism, so I grew up learning how to accommodate that and how to handle certain situations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think my favorite nanny moment has to be with the baby. I most recently worked with, when I caught his first belly laugh on video, that was just such a sweet moment for me, because it felt so special that I had gotten to be there, and I could capture it on video for his parents, I love capturing milestones like that for babies!
