Last year I volunteered with a program called Reading Buddies, which is a club where an early elementary aged child (1st-3rd grade) is buddies with a CU student and we meet once a week to work on confidence with reading and writing! It was such an amazing experience to watch the confidence and skill in my little buddy grow and see how far he had come by the end of the semester.

This past summer, I babysat for the two sweetest little boys ages 2 and 4. After my first day their mom said, “Say something nice to Ava before she leaves!” And the two year old yelled, “I love you so much!!” It was so sweet after only spending a couple of hours with him.
