Overall, the most important part when caring for children is making sure that they are safe and that they’re having a good time. Being a babysitter isn’t just about watching the child but it’s also about interacting with them and helping them to grow!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with all sorts of kids- including those that have special needs or different challenges they have to face. Last summer, I spent multiple weeks working as a volunteer for Clark Youth Theatre’s “Penguin Project Summer Camp.” During this time, I worked one-on-one with different special needs kids throughout the day and I got to learn a lot. To this day, I’ve carried this experience with me and I think it’s taught me a lot.
