A little bit about me

Hello! I have been working with children for over three years and it has very easily become my greatest passion. The aspect of childcare that I find most compelling is social-emotional development and behavioral work. I am a certified Registered Behavior Technician, this gives me a wealth of knowledge on behavior interventions and expertise that not only apply to the practice of ABA therapy, but to the emotional growth of any child. My passion goes beyond providing necessary care, I am highly motivated by education and development. Your child will not only have their needs met, but their interests fostered, their emotional needs prioritized, and the values of your family upheld and nourished.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent two years directing the nursery of North East Methodist Church and have worked as an Assistant Teacher with Kiddie Academy in the 3, 4, and School Age classrooms. As well as nannying/part-time babysitting for local families over the course of 5 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Imaginative play, Teaching through art and nature, Creative writing-
My philosophy is to “water every seed”. I believe that growth is best driven through curiosity and the importance of fostering the interest of each child. A child that wants to spend the day reading comic books can develop imaginative, fine motor, and writing skills by creating our own comic together.
I will bring an active and creative approach to learning/development activities (as well of a bag of crafts and activities to keep your child on their toes!)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having an individualized approach to each child. Every child has hugely different support needs, but to provide to absolute best care you must put consideration into the child themselves, the home, and the needs and goals of parents. Being a nanny goes beyond standard childcare and I believe that fitting into the expectations of the whole family leads to the success of a child.

My experience with special needs children...

I am a certified Registered Behavior Technician meaning that I am qualified to work with clients providing ABA therapy. My certifications are updated as of 2026 material. In my nannying experience I have had the opportunity to work with multiple neurodivergent children and have assisted in data collection related to Autism (ASD) testing. My long term career goals are hugely focused on this field of work and I would be thrilled to work with a family where my expertise would be applicable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The parents that I worked for had expressed that their child was struggling with focus at school and seemingly random tantrums. I became very mindful of their concerns, hoping to collaborate on their goals, and tried to track when these tantrums were happening. I noticed the outbursts align with times we were moving from one activity or location to another. It stuck out that transitions were distressing and I searched for a tool that would help. I found an app with a visual timer so the child could better prepare for transitions. It proved to be a huge help in lessening tantrums and became a helpful tool at home and school as well.

Geneva D. - Seeking Work in Elkton

Full-Time Nanny Available in Elkton, MD: Geneva D.

Hi! I’m Geneva, I’m 22 and a mom to two little girls (3 years and 8 months). Being a mom is a big part of who I am, so caring for kids just comes naturally to me. I’m used to the everyday routine, the chaos, the cuddles, all of it. I’m patient, attentive, and I like making sure kids feel comfortable, safe, and actually enjoy their time. I don’t mind getting on their level, playing, helping them learn, or just keeping things calm and steady when needed. I’d love to help out a family that’s looking for someone they can trust and feel at ease with.

I’m caring, responsible, and patient, and I would love the opportunity to take care of your precious child/children ❤️
Elyce K. - Seeking Work in Elkton

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Elkton, MD: Elyce K.

Hi, my name is Elyce and I am 23 years old. I have babysat for friends and family since I was 15, but have professionally nannied long term and babysat occasionally on and off since I was 18. I am comfortable with multiples. I love to read so reading with your children or other educational activities including homework help is something I like to incorporate and am willing to include if I work with your family. I also enjoy spending lots of time outside so walks, going to the park, or just playing in the yard is another activity I love! I am unfortunately not currently cpr and first aid certified, but I did have to take those courses in high school as I did take CNA courses, but chose a different path. However, I do currently have an 8 month old so I have brushed up on my knowledge of those things. I would be looking to bring my son with me to jobs if you’re open to that. I hope to hear from you soon!
