A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Avery! I am 21 years old and have over 7 years of paid experience caring for and teaching children ages 0-5 in both daycare and home settings. I am the 3rd youngest of eight kids in my family. I enjoy, cooking, baking, painting, reading, playing the piano, and playing the guitar! I have CPR training and I am currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.

In addition to my general childcare experience, I have experience with newborns, overnight newborn care, and special needs children. I'm available for a variety of childcare needs, including full-time care, overnights, and special occasions.

I'm currently out of town but will be available November 19th. I am looking to join a long-term family at that time. I'm excited about the possibility of becoming a part of your family and providing positive, reliable, and loving care for your children!

"Avery came to my house at 6 am and stayed till 6 pm!!! My 4 year old daughter couldn’t stop going on about how much fun she had with her!! She took them outside to play (and actually played with them) They watched a movie and played with toys! Surprisingly My 11 month old son went to sleep for his nap almost instantly!! She sure has a way with the children she cares for and does a wonderful job!!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a daycare helper and elementary teachers aid.
I was with my last family for over a year watching their 2 boys (1&3). The most children I have watched alone is 4 ( 4 month old, 1 year old twins, and 2 year old). I have overnight + newborn experience as my older brother and his wife had twin boys this past year and I did overnights for them!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing games and with toys with children inside and outside. I can teach piano and tutor as well. I love to go swimming, cooking, painting, watching movies, and much more! I believe it’s important for infants and young children to get the amount of stimulation they need for development in way of sensory activities, playing/getting outside time, read to and with them, and taking them to do activities outside of home when possible!

The most important part about being a nanny to me is being hands on, loving, and engaged with the children.

I have cared for young children with ASD and ADHD. Ranging from non verbal-lower on the spectrum.
