More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Nannying for several families newborns, from 2-3 months old until the age of one or two when they started daycare or mommy's day out when my children’s Father was in his 8 yrs of school & surgical training. I have four children of my own that I cared for exclusively at home until they were two, including my oldest were both in diapers and only 17 months apart. Family was 7 hours away during our times in Tampa , so managed to be a full time stay at home Mommy, in addition to taking on one more at a time, such as the neighbors baby boy from 3 months until he started school at the age of 2.
When things became unusually busy with our family and we relocated, I stayed home exclusively devoted to my four kiddos, but knew I would miss desperately caring for babies during their first year was an EXTRA LOVE & Interest of mine, although I’m comfortable & love all ages. I mostly worked with kiddos 3rd grade and below but not opposed to any age !!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am not for children living on technology like many do this day and time. It’s not an insult to parents, as many do the best they can. However, I love all sports, as mine played everything, and also reading to small children, as well as activities such as going to the library, taking strolls and walks outside to the park. However for the itty bitty ones , I fine with a more at home germ free environment too if the family prefers as I know a lot of Mother’s aren’t completely comfortable with exposing the lil ones to certain environments that tend to expose them to unnecessary germs. I just love being with and caring for infants and youth age kiddos, and can be trusted to align our daily routines however parents prefer! Board games, coloring & drawing, as well as just nice strolls or park visits I prefer vs children living on their electronics. I know it’s helpful and perfectly ok during certain times & can be helpful, but I prefer it to not become something extremely habitual.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety and responsible behavior at all times when I’m responsible for the youth. Knock on wood, I had 4 of my own with the first two in diapers at the same two and the rest only 2-3 yrs apart. Knock on wood, never have I experienced a child ever injured or had to attend the ER in my care. However, as a family with many in the medical field, & yrs of working in the NICU, allowed me to gain much knowledge and confidence in ensuring emergencies and children are cared for and attended AT ALL times appropriately.
I also am of the opinion that it is important to establish and/or continue the parents/families routine as close as I possibly can. Routines are very important, and structuring to the differences and specific routines, as ALL families differ. Its important to create a loving & trustworthy relationship specific to each parents preferences. Not any one family is the same, and its most important to be 100% nonjudgmental & respect their household rules! As Consistency is key!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Reading great books, that children love as well. I also love the playtime such as old school hide & seek games, and going outside when weather permits. I have an extreme passion for the infant age, but of course that does not mean I don’t love other ages. I have much experience with the itty bitty and stayed at home full time with my 4 most of the time, even adding one or two more two more when we lived in Tampa that I nannied for. I love activities , such as the zoo, children’s museums, and anything extra special for toddlers, and am very familiar with bringing a long little babies once the parents feel comfortable. I am flexible to align as close with the parents preference of schedule and activities as much as possible. I just love being around all & caring for little babies, as well as toolset, or prek-3rd grade is where I have the most experience.
