I enjoy a wide variety of activities that keep children engaged, learning, and having fun. I love reading stories, doing arts and crafts, playing educational games, going on nature walks, and dancing to music. I also enjoy helping with homework and creating fun indoor or outdoor play based on each child’s interests and age. Cooking simple recipes together, water play on warm days, and sensory activities like playdough, finger painting, or kinetic sand are also some of my favorites. My goal is always to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, happy, and inspired to explore.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and be themselves. Building trust with both the children and their families is key. It means being dependable, patient, and present, whether I’m helping with routines, encouraging creativity, or offering comfort when it’s needed most. Being a positive role model and someone a child can count on makes all the difference.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience working with children who have special needs and approach each child with patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience is caring for my goddaughter, who has special needs and whom I look after regularly. Through her, I’ve learned how important consistency, understanding, and individualized care can be. While my professional experience is limited, I’m very open to following any care plans, routines, or therapies, and I’m committed to providing respectful, attentive support tailored to each child’s needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child I cared for proudly read me their first full sentence after we had been practicing together for weeks. Seeing their face light up with pride and knowing I had a part in that growth was so rewarding. Moments like that, when a child accomplishes something new or surprises themselves with what they can do, remind me why I love this work so much. It’s the little victories and shared laughs that make it truly special.
