On Saturdays, when I used to live in Aberdeen, I would volunteer at the Aberdeen Mountain Church also known as the Epic center. I worked with kids with other workers who are volunteers. I want to start doing it here in Edgewood, with the Mountain Christian Church which also has an Epic Center.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor/outdoor activities I would do with the children is coloring, puzzles, read books. We could go outside and blow bubbles, if the parents are okay with that. We could play board games, watch funny movies. Draw, play hide and seek inside, or outside if a backyard. We could do chalk, Legos. Anything for the child to have a fun time and for both of us to feel safe and comfortable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me about being a nanny/babysitter, is that the parent(s) feel comfortable with the sitter and so they can feel the trustful with the hands they left their kid or kids in. What matters is that the kid feels comfortable as well. Something else I found important is to always let the parent know when something is going on with the child/children. To have the respect between the parent and babysitter/nanny. With that being said, something important is to respect the parents' wishes just as well as the child's.

When I was in Vegas and I used to babysit my god moms' kids, my favorite thing was when they were babies and toddlers, and I use to chase them around playing and then tickle them. Another favorite time was when I use to be able to rock them to sleep for nap time. They always went straight to sleep, were always so comfortable.
