The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is understanding that children are more than just work. You should treat them as such and not only that you should never treat a child as if you are their parent. You must be a friend to them and only show authority when it is required. Honestly, I love playing games with kids and doing arts and crafts. It helps so much to distract from being away from parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I have light experience with children with autism but I am open to babysitting anyone and will not discriminate or treat children with special needs any differently.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was babysitting for a woman I worked with. Her kids were 2 and 4 and the silliest little babies ever. Because, I was working on site of our job in a room they knew their mom was close by so they were non stop crying for mommy. I know, poor babies. I turned on their favorite show and we cuddled on the couch with me (still crying) and we all eventually fell asleep together and it was the sweetest thing.
