A little bit about me

I have been taking care of kids for most of my life! Whether it’s babysitting or lifeguarding, I genuinely love caring for little ones and helping them learn new skills. I am qualified to teach swim lessons to children of all ages and enjoy keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun.

I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with my BFA in Visual Communications and worked as a full-time graphic designer for a year before transitioning into freelance work. My background is very hands-on and creative, which translates naturally into fun art projects, learning activities, and imaginative play with children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have lifeguarded and worked with children at art camps!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love swimming, walking outdoors and exploring nature, and doing arts and crafts. Storytime is also one of my favorites!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is leading by example. Children learn far more from what they observe than what they are told, so I am intentional in how I act and respond—modeling patience, kindness, and emotional awareness in every interaction.
I also believe children should never feel bored, but instead learn how to engage with the world around them. Through play, art, and observation, I guide them in developing curiosity and independence, helping them discover how to create their own sense of fun and fulfillment.
I was fortunate to grow up closely influenced by my grandmother, a mixed-media artist, who taught me not only how to create, but how to teach. Many of the most lasting lessons I carry into my work come from her—especially the value of nurturing creativity, encouraging exploration, and meeting each child with both intention and imagination.

My experience with special needs children...

I have given swim lessons to autistic children as well as children with mobility issues.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I nannied for a brother and sister who didn’t always get along at first. We worked on patience and communication, and over time the older brother started responding more kindly when his sister got upset, often inviting her to play instead. Watching them grow closer and become a sweet little duo over the summer was such an incredible experience.
