I really love drawing/coloring with them. Going to the park, playing catch. It could be as simple as watching a movie with them, singing with them, reading a book. Helping them grown and learn while seeing their imagination run wild.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me the most about being a nanny is caring for the kids and doing as much as i can for them as well as the parents. Having fun while keeping them safe and enjoying the time of the day that i get to have with each and every one of them.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at Autism United for 6 months at two different homes with two little boys. I also have experience with my cousin who also has autism and I have grown up with and I still care for when she comes over occasionally.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Our friends daughter calls me her best friend. She’s always surprising me with random gifts and acts of kindness. This past weekend she asked me to close my eyes and came up to me with a drawing she made that was of her and I holding hands with an “I love you” written all over it. She even framed it, took it up to my room and put it on top of one of my drawers. She then asked her mom if i can take her to go get a watermelon at the store. She got a little one for her and a bigger one for me. Those little moments really do matter the most to me.
