A little bit about me

Hello! I'm currently a grad student at the University of Rochester looking for part-time work caring for kids. I've been working with kids since I was in high school, when I started babysitting for a family friend (three boys ages 4, 6, and 8-- you can guess how chaotic that got!).

I am very experienced with children with disabilities and higher behavioral needs. I've worked with kids with autism, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder, as well as kids with severe trauma backgrounds. Because of that experience, I know how to set a firm boundary and stay calm in a crisis.

I love having fun and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty! I have no problems playing long games of tag or doing messy art projects (and cleaning up afterwards, of course). Adults are just older kids, and I feel like I've still maintained a youthful joy about me.
