I've spent the last 15 years as an educator in the public/homeschool settings. I spent 8 years teaching in the Forest Hills Public School setting in grades ranging from K-4th grade until my daughter was born and wanted to move to part time employment. Over the last 5 years I worked as a private homeschool educator for a family ranging from 2-5 students depending on the school year. They attend Northpointe Christian's hybrid school program. I was their private teacher two days a week and the rest of the week they attended the school. I worked with children as young as Pre K up to 8th grade in all subject areas. Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love using my teaching background to instill a love of learning in the children I work with. It is always my mission to help children find out what they are passionate about and dive in deeper to that area. Learning through play and interactive experiences is how I operate. My other love is spending time outdoors with children, no matter the temperature! Adventures are a must!
