Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with kids of all ages at my church but mostly kids with special needs. It was there that I was trained through the buddy program. I have been babysitting for kids ages 1-12 since I was 14. I am on my second summer nannying for a family with 3 kids. I also have worked at a preschool part time since I was 16. I also care for and babysit my younger cousins often. I love getting to see kids of all ages learn and grow.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside with kids and doing anything creative with them. I love helping them learn to do crafts or sports. I also love reading with kids and one of my favorite activities to do is build forts with kids. I also love going on outings to parks or the library.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids with autism, Down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, cerebral palsy, deaf kids, and kids with limb differences. I have both babysat and worked in child care with these kids. I have been trained through the Buddy Program to work with kids with extra needs. I also have a 4 year old cousin with a developmental disability who I have babysat overnight and who I love.
