Be protective and responsible at all time. Being engage with the child and observing how well they interact with individuals and children of the same age group. How well they respond to new things etc.

My experience with special needs children...

Had to help with caring for a sibling that was both physically and mentally challenged for a number and years. I also volunteer with charitable organizations that help and care for sick and abused children. Red Cross and the Convalescence home in Guyana, South America.
