A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Blake Im 20 and I'm looking to be a nanny. Ive wanted to be in childcare my whole life and it's truly my passion. I have worked at a childcare center for a year now and prior I did nannying for a year and babysitting for many years. As a Nanny I would feel comfortable preparing meals, transporting children, light housekeeping, and anything else to help make your life easier. I am currently working on getting my CDA and would love to create lessons and do activities with your children to help their development and give them a head start for School. For older children I could help tutor them and support them educationally in that way. I have plenty of experience with special needs children. From 5th grade through 11th grade I took a peer tutor class where we would support special needs children in class and I have experience in my classroom with both severe Autism and Down Syndrome I can't wait to communicate with you if you have any questions please feel free to ask!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not only looking out for a Childs well being and day to day care (feeding, diapering, First aid etc) I believe a nanny who provides developmental support and educational childcare is very important. Early and age appropriate exposure to educational things can be the head start a child needs to flourish once they are in school. I would help do this by providing planned and thought out lessons and activities.

My experience with special needs children...

I hold children with special needs very dear to my heart. Since I was 10 I have volunteered to help out in the special needs classrooms where I would help them with their school work, Field trips, and especially being a good friend to them. As a lead teacher in a childcare setting I have also had children in my class with Severe Autism and Down syndrome so I have experience taking care of special needs children for an extended period of time as well as alongside other children and is something I believe I balance well.
