I currently enjoy volunteering at my younger (6-8 yr old) siblings school events such as field day where I coached them and helped them win games such as tug of war, bean bag toss and the 2 legged race!

From my experience I would say the best thing about being a babysitter is making sure the child feels safe, cared for, and comfortable while also being someone they can trust. It’s about listening to all the problems they may have and making sure they feel heard, because that’s how you create a safe environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was babysitting my neighbors 3 kids on a rainy day. We couldn’t go outside, so we made popcorn together, built a blanket fort in the living room, and had a little movie night. At one point, we we’re laughing so hard over a silly drawing that we could barely keep the movie going.
