More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered on the PTO for years. I put almost as many hours in at the school, with children, as a full time job.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go for walks with the kids if there is an opportunity to do so and play the letter game, looking out for different kinds of animals and bugs and go on scavenger hunts. I like to play board games, put together puzzles, learn the alphabet and numbers with different things in the playroom. Make lego houses, make art with sidewalk chalk, have fun with bubble guns, play in the fort and just have fun together. On rainy or snowy days, I enjoy bringing my laptop so we can break up the day with a little bit of playtime on the computer. Disney Toontown is a favorite, along with ABC Mouse and other learning games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making every child feel special. Knowing every child is different and has their own little, unique personality. Focusing on the positive in each child, and of course praising them for accomplishments. Knowing that what may seem like small, silly things to adults, may mean so much to a child.

The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was returning from a week off, with my last nanny job, the girls were waiting for me at the door, jumping up and down and waving to me as I pulled into the driveway. Oh my heart! So touching and sweet. I just love spoiling children. The hardest part about my job is getting attached to them then having to say goodbye.
