I enjoy doing a wide variety of activities with the children under my supervision. From reading and coloring to museums and parks I feel it's important to provide a variety of activities to engage the interests of the children under my care.

Providing a safe and nurturing environment for children under my care as well as building a rapport with the parents. Its important to stimulate and engage the children on an age appropriate level. It's also imperative to have a great working relationship with the parents and or guardians of the children under my care. I've found this to be the best case for the children.
My experience with special needs children...
I've cared for many children over the years and a few with varying degrees of special needs. I have experience caring for children with everything from spina bifida to seizures. I've also cared for children with severe allergies and am careful to make sure each child's individual needs are met. I’ve spent the last seven years caring for adults with physical and mental disabilities. My experience spans 20 years with many different needs for my clients. Everything from infant development to seizure protocols and tube feeding.

One afternoon after we had visited the farm we were on our way home and I was channel surfing the radio. From the backseat I hear "yeah! This one is good!" It was Life Is A Highway from Cars. He thought the radio was playing the movie!
